It’s a stunning piece of architecture that dates back to the 15th century. The castle provides a panoramic view of the island and the surrounding sea. Walking along the Ischia Ponte, the bridge that connects the castle to the island, is an experience in itself. The bridge is a picturesque spot that offers a perfect view of the castle on one side and the sparkling sea on the other.
2. Thermal Springs: Ischia is famous for its thermal springs. The island is actually volcanic, which means it’s home to several hot springs and geysers. These natural hot tubs are not only relaxing but also believed to have healing properties. Soaking in these warm, mineral-rich waters can be a wonderful way to unwind after a day of exploring the island. How Many Days Should You Stay in Capri and Ischia?
You can do each island separately in a day if that is all the time you have. Capri is very easy to do in a day as it is a smaller island compared to Ischia. If you are looking to do Capri for a day, read my post on a day trip to Capri.
Ischia also can be done in a day. I did a day trip, and it was perfect, but why not enjoy it a little longer and stay for two?
How Long Is The Boat Ride From Capri To Ischia?
The boat ride to both islands varies depending on whether you take the high-speed ferry or the regular ferry and also from where you depart. On average, the ferry ride to Capri from Naples is between 50 minutes and 1.50 hours.
Getting to Ischia is a bit longer. Leaving from Naples will take either 1 hour or 1.5 hours.

The distance separating Capri and Ischia measures 32.39 km, equivalent to 20.13 miles or 17.48 nautical miles.
